One inbox, and editors read it

Everything reaches us at support@keralanews247.com. That is the only address we publish and the only one we stand behind. It is monitored and triaged by our own editors, not by a support queue and not by a bot. We run no per-department aliases, because in a newsroom this size they only create places for mail to die.

Put the purpose at the front of the subject line and you reach the right editor faster. CORRECTION, TIP, PITCH, ADVERTISING or PRIVACY is all we need. If your message is about a specific story, paste the link rather than the headline.

Corrections and complaints about coverage

If we have published something factually wrong, write with CORRECTION in the subject, the link, and the sentence you are disputing. Names, place names and numbers are what we most often get wrong and what we most want to hear about. Our corrections policy explains what happens once your mail lands.

Complaints about framing or a headline you think is unfair go to the same inbox, and where possible they are read by an editor who had no part in the story. If you want an answer rather than an edit, say so and you will get one.

Story tips, and the confidential kind

Tips from the districts are the most valuable mail we receive. A collector’s order, a tender document, a notice taped to a board in a government office: send it, and tell us where and when you saw it. From outside Kerala, what you can tell us about how a Gulf rule change is being applied at the counter is worth more than the announcement was.

If sending something could cost you your job or your visa, protect yourself first. Write from a personal account on a personal device, and make CONFIDENTIAL the first word of the subject so it is handled that way from the start. We will reply to agree an encrypted channel before you send anything sensitive. Sources are not identified to anybody, advertisers and lawyers included.

Pitches, press releases and advertising

Freelance pitches are welcome, particularly from reporters in districts we cannot cover from a desk. Two or three paragraphs is plenty: what the story is, who you can talk to, and roughly what it will cost. Press releases are fine as plain text in the body of the mail, and we do not open unsolicited attachments.

Advertising, sponsorship and partnership enquiries go to the same address with ADVERTISING in the subject, and they are handled on the business side rather than by the desk that would cover you. What we sell, and the categories we refuse, is set out on our advertise page.

Privacy requests, legal notices and reply times

For access to or deletion of your personal data, or any question about what our analytics and advertising partners collect, write with PRIVACY in the subject. The rights you have are described in our privacy policy. If you need a postal route for a legal notice, ask and we will provide one.

We deal with corrections the same day we read them and aim to answer everything else inside two working days, which stretches during a monsoon emergency or an election count. If a week passes with no reply, resend. And we do not ask you to trust any social media account as ours. If one claims to speak for KeralaNews 24×7, ask this inbox.
