KEE Counselling is the process of admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), formerly known as Karunya University. KITS is a Christian minority institution located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

It was established in 1986 by the late Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran and his son Dr. Paul Dhinakaran. KITS is accredited by NAAC with A++ grade and offers programmes in engineering, biotechnology, agriculture, management, arts, science, media and health sciences.

KEE Counselling Entrance Examination

KEE Counselling is based on the performance of the candidates in the Karunya Entrance Examination (KEE) conducted by the university. It is an online test that evaluates the aptitude and skills of the candidates in various subjects. KEE is conducted for admission to B.Tech and B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture programmes. For other UG and PG programmes, admission is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

KEE is conducted in multiple slots throughout the year. Candidates can choose their preferred slot and date while filling the online application form. The duration of KEE is one hour and it consists of 50 multiple choice questions. The questions are based on physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology and general aptitude. The medium of instruction is English and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.

KEE Counselling Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for KEE Counselling vary depending on the course applied for. The general eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates must have studied physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology as compulsory subjects in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
• Candidates must have qualified KEE with a valid score.
• Candidates must have completed their compulsory rotatory internship by April 30, 2023.

KEE Counselling UG Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for UG admission through KEE Counselling given below:

• For B.Tech programmes, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• For B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture programme, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with physics, chemistry and biology/agriculture as compulsory subjects.
• For other UG programmes, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant stream.

KEE Counselling PG Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for PG admission through KEE Counselling are given below:

• For M.Tech programmes, candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant branch of engineering with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
• For M.Sc programmes, candidates must have passed B.Sc or equivalent degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
• For MBA programme, candidates must have passed any bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• For MCA programme, candidates must have passed any bachelor’s degree with mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation level with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• For MA programme, candidates must have passed any bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Documents Required for KEE Counselling

According to the official website of KITS, the documents required for participating in KEE Counselling 2023 are as follows:

• KEE 2023 Admit Card
• Class 10 Certificate (as proof of date of birth)
• Class 12/Qualifying Examination Marksheet
• Valid ID Proof like PAN Card, Aadhaar, Voter ID Card
• DD of the tuition fee in favor of “The Registrar, Karunya University” payable at Coimbatore
• All Certificates which are applicable to the candidate
• Attested community certificate issued by Tehsildar, Revenue Officer or Magistrate

KEE Counselling Admission Online- How to Do?

The admission process for KEE Counselling is as follows:

• Candidates have to fill the online application form available on the official website of KITS and pay the application fee of Rs.1000 through online mode.
• Candidates have to choose their preferred slot and date for appearing in KEE while filling the application form.
• Candidates have to download their admit card from the candidate portal using their application number and password.
• Candidates have to appear for KEE as per their chosen slot and date and score the minimum qualifying marks.
• Candidates have to check their result and rank on the official website using their login credentials.
• Candidates have to download their enrollment letter from the official website and report to the KITS campus for counselling as per the schedule.
• Candidates have to submit their original documents and certificates for verification and pay the tuition fee through demand draft in favor of “The Registrar, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences” payable at Coimbatore.
• Candidates have to fill their choices of branches and courses in offline mode while reporting at the institute for counselling.
• Candidates have to attend the seat allotment process based on their rank, score, preferences and availability of seats.
• Candidates have to confirm their admission by accepting the seat allotment and completing the enrollment formalities.
