Renault has announced that it will unveil the new Duster SUV on November 29, 2023. This will be the third generation of the successful model that has sold over 7 million units worldwide since its launch in 2010. The new Duster will feature an evolutionary design, an all-new interior, and new powertrain options.
A modular platform and turbo petrol engines
The new Duster will be based on the CMF-B modular platform that Renault recently showcased in Brazil. This platform will allow the SUV to offer more space, comfort, and safety features. It will also enable the use of GDi turbo petrol engines with manual and automatic transmission options. These engines will offer better performance and fuel efficiency than the current ones.
A key product for Renault India
The new Duster will be a crucial product for Renault India, which plans to launch two new D-SUVs and a budget electric car in the near future. The Duster will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder in the highly competitive segment. The Duster will also be available in a three-row configuration to cater to the growing demand for seven-seater SUVs.
A global unveiling and a possible India launch
The new Duster will be globally unveiled on November 29, 2023. It is expected that the SUV will make its way to India sometime in 2024. Renault India has not confirmed the exact launch date or price of the new Duster yet. However, it is likely that the SUV will be priced competitively to attract buyers who are looking for a stylish, spacious, and powerful SUV.
