Shahid Kapoor announces his next film ‘Deva’ with Pooja Hegde

Actor Shahid Kapoor has revealed the title and release date of his upcoming action thriller film, which will be directed by Rosshan Andrrews. The film is called Deva and it will hit the theatres on Dussehra, October 11, 2024. The film also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead.

Rosshan Andrrews is a Malayalam filmmaker who is known for his blockbuster films such as Salute and Kayamkulam Kochunni. He has also directed the Hindi remake of his own film How Old Are You?, titled Dear Maya, starring Manisha Koirala.

According to the makers, Deva follows a brilliant yet rebellious police officer who is assigned to investigate a high-profile case. As he delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal, leading him down a thrilling and dangerous path.

Shahid Kapoor shared the update about the new project, backed by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, on his official Instagram page. Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde’s previous and upcoming projects

Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Bloody Daddy, an action thriller movie directed by Prabhu Deva. He played a double role of a father and son who are both gangsters. The film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
