The title reveal will be accompanied by a motion poster that will showcase the theme and genre of the film. The title of the film has been kept under wraps so far, and there have been many speculations and rumours about it. However, Archana Kalpathi, the CEO of AGS Entertainment, has clarified that the title is neither Boss nor Puzzle, as some reports suggested.

According to some sources, Thalapathy 68 will feature Vijay in a dual role, playing a 19-year-old character and a 40-year-old character. The film will reportedly explore the concept of parallel universes and the consequences of altering the past.
