WWE SmackDown has set up a grudge match for next week’s episode, as Bobby Lashley will take on Karrion Kross in a singles match. The match was announced after Lashley and Kross had a brawl on Friday night, following their involvement in the main event tag team match.
Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross: A Rivalry Reignited
Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross have a history of animosity, dating back to their days on NXT in 2020. Lashley was the NXT Champion at the time, and Kross was the challenger who wanted to dethrone him. The two had a brutal match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, where Kross defeated Lashley to become the new NXT Champion. However, Lashley did not accept the loss and attacked Kross after the match, injuring his shoulder and forcing him to vacate the title.
Lashley and Kross did not cross paths again until 2023, when they were both drafted to SmackDown. Lashley was the leader of The Pride, a faction that consisted of him and The Street Profits. Kross was the leader of The Final Testament, a faction that consisted of him and The Authors of Pain. The two factions started a feud over the supremacy of SmackDown, and had several matches against each other. Lashley and Kross also had a singles match on the December 8, 2023 episode of SmackDown, where Lashley won by pinfall.

Bobby Lashley and Karrion Kross: A Brawl on SmackDown
On Friday night, Lashley and Kross were involved in the main event tag team match, where Lashley teamed up with Cody Rhodes to face Kross and Seth Rollins. The match was a chaotic affair, with all four men showing their aggression and intensity. Lashley and Kross focused their attacks on each other, as they exchanged punches, kicks, and slams. The match ended in a disqualification, when The Rock and Roman Reigns interfered and attacked Rhodes and Rollins.
After the match, Lashley and Kross continued to fight, as they spilled out of the ring and into the crowd. They used chairs, tables, and barricades as weapons, as they tried to inflict as much damage as possible. The security and the referees tried to separate them, but they were unsuccessful. The brawl lasted for several minutes, until they were finally pulled apart by their respective faction members.

As a result of the brawl, WWE SmackDown announced that Lashley and Kross will face each other in a singles match on next week’s episode. The match will be a no-disqualification match, which means that anything goes and there will be no rules or interference.
